Pros and Cons of FaceTime and other video communication

FaceTime and other video communication allows people to converse with one another face-to-face, any time, anywhere, through video. In my own experience i’ve found that this can be very useful, but at the same time it can get frustrating because face-to-face conversation allows people to create connections. The positive aspect of video communication would be the fact that you can communicate anywhere that has internet connection. This can be very useful to people in business or any career field that involves talking to people all the time. The negative facet of video communication is that it doesn’t allow people to get connection everywhere because internet connection is required. FaceTime can also be deficient at getting a connection between the other person, which this lacks rather to be physically present because is very important in creating a relationship. These negative characteristics can be bad especially if its business or other important conversations, because you don’t want to make a bad impression. Whether it’s loosing connection or not developing a relationship because of not being physically present, both can be frustrating and decremental because of reliance on technology.

Through my experience with this technology I have learned though there’s positives and negative’s, it won’t change the fact that this is a necessity to people in this fast past, technological world. This kind of communication will continue to get better in my opinion, it may not be great now, but I feel this technology will continue to implement ways to improve the connection that takes places between people through video communication. When this comes and this technology becomes better, this won’t be an issue anymore in my opinion and it will instead become serviceable.
